SPRING HAS SPRUNG!!

"The beautiful spring came, and when nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also."

Spring is the season of the Wood element, according to Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Wood, by its nature, is known for its strength and flexibility.

Little green shoots are now appearing in every garden, and buds are beginning to appear on every tree.

Just as in nature, the plants and trees begin their transition, by growing shoots and buds, this change is happening inside us too!

In Spring, the wood element becomes dominant, moving upwards and outwards from the centre of our body, as only a Yang energy can do.

Each season has a direct effect on our health, therefore it is crucial that we adapt our diet, lifestyle and exercise regime according to the season we are in.

By doing this, we can prevent illness and disease.

After the excesses of Christmas, it is now time to renew, cleanse and detox our bodies.

We Spring-clean our homes, so why not Spring-clean our bodies?

Spring is the time to focus on the digestive system, and the time to cleanse and detox the Liver.
